Embarking in the Eternal City of Rome Athena will take you to Naples where a visit to fascinating Pompeii will be one of the many highlights of this truly spectacular voyage. Then on to Venice with an overnight stop over to allow you to enjoy all of the magic of this famous floating city. Dubrovnik with its clear blue waters and steeped in history is next on your itinerary. Corfu one of the most famous of the Greek Islands will allow you to get the feeling of the true Mediterranean lifestyle before continuing onto Athens. A visit to the Acropolis and Plakka area will be another highlight making this a truly magnificent trip of a lifetime.

Ready for more adventure ? Athena then visits Port Said in Egypt where a trip to the pyramids and the fascinating city of Cairo is a must. After transiting the Suez Canal you will be ready for some lazy days at sea to enjoy the luxury of cruising. Sri Lanka where snake charmers can still be found at the local bazaars will give you something more to write home about. As you draw closer to home there is still a visit to Phuket where perhaps you might like to enjoy an elephant ride and the ultra modern city of Singapore still awaits you. One of the highlights of Athena’s cruise season is the traditional ‘line voyage’ sailing between Australia and the United Kingdom, and we’ve scheduled this voyage itinerary following many requests from Athena loyal repeat passengers.

Athena heads from Fremantle towards the Northern Hemisphere and her cruise season in Europe. Lazy days at sea are interspersed with an excellent choice of contrasting ports of call.

Along the way to the Far East we pass Christmas Island and Krakatau Volcano, we stop at Singapore , Phuket and exotic Sri Lanka. After traversing the impressive Suez Canal we will visit Port Said in Egypt with a chance to visit the Pyramids.

We head across the Mediterranean Sea visiting Athens, and Corfu the most well known of the Greek Islands then passing the Messina Straits we visit the stunning beautiful Spanish city of Barcelona, the Moroccan city of Tangiers, the Portuguese capital of Lisbon and then onto the French city of Le Havre where a shore tour to WW1 battlefields is on offer. After a memorable 39 nights you will arrive into Portsmouth in the United Kingdom, ready for the British summer.
